Connecticut Magazine Review

Ocotber 2009 Issue of the Connecticut Magazine: Pub Grub Redefined
With new owners and a new name, the Marbledale Pub in Marbledale, CT has become The White Horse Pub and Country Restaurant(860/868-1496).
Spiffed up and looking very horse-and-hound and country gentlemanly, it raises the bar on hearty, affordable pub food. The menu goes on forever, with everything your little or big heart might desire -from French onion soup in a traditional crock sealed with melted cheese to rum-soaked English trifle, plus quesadillas, coconut shrimp, Guinness beef stew, bangers and mash, oh my! The Brits would call it a gastropub. So do we.
