Christmas ornaments purchased at the White Horse Country Pub in Marble Dale during the holiday season surely brightened the lives of a many an area resident.
Proceeds from those purchases have since helped out many others more needy during a long and cold winter.
The White Horse continued its young tradition recently by donating $3,000 raised from those holiday ornaments to the Connecticut Food Bank.
That donation should help fund about 9,000 meals, according to the food bank.
The White Horse was recently honored by Connecticut Magazine as their readers' and experts' choice as "Best Value Statewide" and "Best Prime Rib Statewide."
Yankee Magazine calls the White Horse the "Best Classic Pub New England" destination.
