MAKING NEW YEARS EVE PLANS ?

The White Horse, A Country Pub & Restaurant in the Marbledale section of Washington won several accolades, including Best New Restaurant and Best Value in Litchfield County. It was the county winner and a statewide runner-up in the categories of Best Prime Rib and Best Restaurant Bar.
"I have just a great culinary team and head chef [Fabrice Denis]. Everyone works so hard, it's rewarding to have something like that," said The White Horse owner John Harris. "Everybody takes great pride in what they do, they work so hard and they step up."
Referencing the honor for the best prime rib in the county win, Mr. Harris said called it a superb cut of beef, and said his culinary team seasons it well and that it's always cooked to perfection.
"We're just going with the highest quality available at all times, charging the most reasonable price for it. We strive every day to reach the highest standard possible," said Mr. Harris. "Every customer comes in here is made to feel welcome, we're just happy to see everybody, that is the nature of the business, it's a place filled with people."
