THE WHITE HORSE GIVES BACK
............Janet Kniffen, Director of the Connecticut Food Bank along with Rick Reichert, Director of Philanthropy receiving a check for $2055 from The White Horse Country Pub and Restaurant....the funds for the donation were generated by the sale of White Horse Christmas Ornaments. 100% of the proceeds were donated....this represents over 6,000 meals. The demand is higher this year with well over 150 tons being distributed each week, of which 65% goes to small towns.
The White Horse, in the Marbledale section of Washington, has also been recently honored by further press accolades, this time from Connecticut Magazine in the 2012 Readers Choice Awards - Giving them

as well as BEST VALUE LITCHFIELD COUNTY
"I have a great culinary team, it is all about flavor and ingredients, we're just going with the highest quality available at all times, charging the most reasonable price for it. "Every customer comes in here is made to feel welcome, we're just happy to see everybody, that is the nature of the business, it's a place filled with people, filled with contentment.
